At Adventist Health, we know that quality is the basis of all good health care. To that end, our facilities participate in numerous state and federal quality measurement improvement programs.

We also believe that technology plays a key role in ensuring that our patients get the best care possible. That’s why we’ve invested more than $75 million into Project IntelliCare, our state-of-the-art clinical information system. This exciting technology is enhancing the health care experience for both our patients and caregivers. First and foremost, Project IntelliCare is designed to improve patient safety. By automating multiple steps in the patient care process, it enhances documentation, decreases medical errors, improves detection of adverse events and associated interventions, and provides guidelines, prompts and alerts based on best practices.

Adventist Health is so committed to quality that we recently established the System Quality Council (SQC) in an effort to achieve a higher level of quality throughout our four-state health care system. SQC is an interdisciplinary committee that is responsible for providing input and direction for Adventist Health’s overall quality improvement strategy. The council includes representatives from administration, nursing, finance, clinical information systems as well as several physician advocates.
