Laboratory Services
Laboratory services are an essential component of quality healthcare delivery. When you have a health concern, lab test results from blood and urine samples can help you and your physician make the best possible treatment decisions together.
Adventist Health’s quality lab services support diagnosis and decision-making when planning and monitoring treatments. Additionally, our labs are equipped with state-of-the-art instruments that enable rapid and accurate results.
Services performed by our lab include:
- Blood draws
- Clinical microbiology – Identifies bacteria, antibiotic resistance and infectious illnesses
- Hematology – Evaluates blood and related cells for a range of conditions
- Coagulation – Assesses bleeding risk and detects bleeding disorders
- Drug testing – Analyzes urine and blood for presence of drugs
- Molecular tests – Quickly identifies infections in blood, spinal fluid, joints, stool and respiratory system
- Urinalysis – Assesses general kidney health and screens for bladder infection
- Clinical biochemistry – Measures glucose, cholesterol, tumor markers, hormones and vitamins
- Serology – Aids in the diagnosis of issues related to the immune system
- Blood bank – Identifies blood type and provides blood transfusion services
