Adventist Health Howard Memorial Celebrates their 5-Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)

Recently our facility has received the Overall Hospital Quality Five-Star Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the highest possible quality rating a hospital can achieve.

Only 381 hospitals across the United States were awarded a CMS 5-Star rating, which is 102 fewer than last year and much of this rating comes from patient experience and being reviewed against hospital much larger than our own, making it very difficult to achieve.

Of the 4,600 hospitals evaluated by CMS, Adventist Health Howard Memorial is one of only two hospitals in the Northern California area to achieve this five-star rating. Only 10% of hospitals nationwide have earned five stars.

This accomplishment is one that takes each person across our entire facility to help us achieve and we have each team member to thank for their incredible work and dedication to excellence in all they do.

We're also pleased to see our sister, Adventist Health Ukiah Valley and Adventist Health St. Helena hospitals who also achieved this rating in Northern California.

We are so proud of our team for all their work as a critical access hospital to achieve this rating. We could not be more grateful for such a dedicated team serving our community as your hometown hospital.
