May 9, 2024 (Reedley, CA) – Adventist Health – Reedley Women’s Health is pleased to welcome board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist Jan Eperjesi, MD, MHSc, FACOG, to its staff. In addition to providing comprehensive pregnancy care, he treats conditions such as preeclampsia and abnormal uterine bleeding.
Eperjesi earned his medical degree from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Puerto Rico and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He also has a Master of Health Science in Clinical Biochemistry and Lab Medicine (MHSc) from the University of Toronto and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).
Inspired by his mother to pursue medicine as a career, he said of her, “My mother is one of the finest physicians I know. From as early as I can remember, I wanted to become a doctor because of her example and teaching.”
He continued, “I love being an obstetrician and caring for pregnant patients. From the excitement of the first ultrasound showing a fetal heartbeat to the safe birth of a baby, it is an incredible privilege to share in the miracle of pregnancy and childbirth.”
Before completing his medical degree, Eperjesi worked for the United Nations Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (UNESCO) in locations around the globe and for the Canadian government in the Department of Canadian Heritage. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Slovak.
Eperjesi has wide ranging interests. When not caring for patients, he can be found ranching, hiking, and enjoying international travel with his wife and children.
He is accepting new patients and may be reached at Adventist Health – Reedley Women’s Health, located at 550 West Cypress Avenue, Reedley, CA. More information and appointments are available by calling (559) 391-3115.
