Welcoming Dr. Rikki Spencer, Psychologist

FORT BRAGG, CALIF.— Adventist Health Mendocino Coast is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Rikki Spencer, a seasoned clinical psychologist, to their team of providers. Dr. Spencer specializes in providing compassionate and effective care for adolescents and adults facing complex emotional and mental health challenges.

With a background spanning various clinical settings, Dr. Spencer brings a wealth of experience in treating conditions such as trauma, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety, and substance use. She also supports individuals experiencing life transitions and relationship issues and provides gender-affirming care.

Dr. Spencer's approach is grounded in a deep commitment to understanding each patient's unique needs and developing personalized treatment plans. She is trained in multiple modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based therapy, and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Dr. Spencer received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Rutgers University and is licensed by the California Board of Psychology. She completed her internship and postdoctoral training at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
