Designated Institutional Official

Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Ayala serves as Designated Institutional Official (DIO) of the Hanford Family Medicine Residency program. He is the Market Medical Officer for Adventist Health in the Central Valley and sits on the networks’ governing boards.

Board-certified family medicine physician Muhammad Khan, MD has been practicing medicine for over 12 years providing exceptional care to his patients of all ages.

Sarah Sammons, 

Program Coordinator, Msc., C-TAGME

More than three years of experience working in GME. A member of the AFMA, she is C-TAGME certified through the National Board for Certification of Training Administrators in Graduate Medical Education. Sarah supports the Tulare Family Medicine Residency program core faculty and residents. Sarah received her Master’s in Management from CSU Bakersfield.

Hannah Laimer, DO

Associate Program Director

Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Laimer practices obstetrics. She is part of the Core Faculty for the Tulare Family Medicine Residency program, a member of the CCC and the Chair of the PEC. She will teach women’s health and obstetrics care, supervising residents at the FMP, including continuity labor and delivery for patients of the FMP.
