SmartExam
Convenient care you need, right at your fingertips
The care you need is now available from your smartphone or computer in about an hour! You can access fast diagnosis and treatment for many common conditions thanks to e-visits, powered by OHSU Health SmartExam. SmartExam is available to adults 18 or older who are located in Oregon or Washington. It is provided at $30 per visit and is available 7 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
Accessing SmartExam
Accessing SmartExam is easy. Just log in to your OHSU MyChart account.
If you don’t have an OHSU MyChart account, you can easily sign up for a free OHSU MyChart account. Just visit the signup page, fill out the form, and choose your username and password. You don’t have to be an OHSU patient.
Once you’re logged in to your OHSU MyChart:
- Click the menu button in the upper left of the webpage.
- Choose “Immediate Care SmartExam” on the SmartExam icon.
- On the SmartExam page, answer questions about your medical concern.
It’s that simple. You’ll get a treatment plan within about an hour.

- Bladder infection/UTI
- Cough, cold, allergies
- Ear pain
- Flu
- Headaches
- Pink eye
- Rashes
- Sinus pain or pressure
- Sore throat
How SmartExam Works
During your SmartExam, you’ll answer a series of questions about your condition and health history. This information, combined with your chart, will be reviewed by a primary care provider who will make a diagnosis and treatment plan if possible.
If your SmartExam provider decides you need to be seen in person, we will help you schedule an appointment with your primary care provider. Patients will not be charged if they cannot receive care through SmartExam.
To start a SmartExam visit, simply log into your OHSU MyChart and click the Menu button on the top right. Scroll down to Immediate Care SmartExam and click.
